What are Miranda rights or Miranda warnings?
Miranda Rights stem from a United State Supreme Court decision of Miranda vs. Arizona in which the Supreme Court found that a defendant who is being questioned by law enforcement is entitled to know that law enforcement is seeking statements to be used against them. It seems that all of us can, in our sleep, recount these rights that law enforcement tells us that we have the right to remain silent and that anything that we say can be used against us. However, some of us do not think this through. Under no circumstance should you speak with law enforcement if they are actively investigating a case concerning yourself.Back To Criminal Defense Law Videos FAQS
